Born on 18th September 1951 in Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Shri Reddy did his graduation from Nizam College, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Shri Reddy was elected to the 10th Lok Sabha in the year 1991 and re-elected to the 14th Lok Sabha (second term) in the year 2004. He was re-elected to 15th Lok Sabha (third term) in the year 2009.
Shri Reddy has served as Member of various Parliamentary Committees which included Committee on Estimates, Committee on Agriculture, Committee on Water Resources, Committee on Government Assurances. He was also Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. He was also Member, Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
Shri Reddy took part in various social, cultural and welfare activities. He takes interest in sports. He has also visited various countries abroad.
