The Election Commission has decided to hold a
Bye-election to the Council of States from Maharashtra, to fill up the
vacancy occurred due to the death of the sitting member Shri Deshmukh, Vilasrao Dagdoji on 14th
August, 2012, whose term of office will expire on 2nd April, 2018.
Accordingly, the aforesaid
bye-election will be held in accordance with the following programme :-
