Rising Investment in Infrastructure Development in Agriculture Sector

The Government is implementing various schemes/programmes is to increase investment in the infrastructure development in the agricultural sector. Some of the major schemes in this regard are, Development and Strengthening of Infrastructure Facilities for Production and Distribution of Quality Seeds; National Mission on Micro Irrigation; Development/Strengthening of Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure, Grading & Standardisation; Gramin Bhandaran Yojana; and Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana. The amount earmarked (RE) for the said schemes during 2008-09 to 2010-11 are given in the table below:
