Free electricity to Below Poverty Line underRGGVY in Andhra Pradesh

Under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY), 26 projects in 22 districts of Andhra Pradesh covering electrification of 27,477 Partially Electrified villages for intensive electrification and release of free electricity service connections to 27,24,383 Below Poverty Line (BPL) households have been sanctioned. As on 15.08.2011, the rural electrification infrastructure consisting of LT lines, HT lines and Distribution Transformers have been created for 21,661 Partially Electrified villages and 26,48,099 free electricity service connections to BPL households. In addition, 11 new 33/11 KV sub stations have been commissioned under RGGVY. The details of release of free electricity service connections to BPL households in Andhra Pradesh under RGGVY during the last three years, is as under:
