Government of India has decided
to electrify all unelectrified villages of the country by 01st May,
2018. This was stated by Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (IC) for Power,
Coal & New and Renewable Energy in a written reply to a question in the
Rajya Sabha today.
There are 18452 villages left for
electrification as on 01.4.2015 in 19 States as given below:-
