llumination of Monuments in Delhi

           The Minister of Culture Smt. Chandresh Kumari Katoch has said that the public is permitted to enter and witness the illumination of Qutub Minar, a centrally protected monument from 7.00 pm to 10.00 p.m. on all days except holidays.  In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today she said, the following other illuminated monuments can be viewed by the public from outside:  

1.         Khairul Manazil Mosque

2.         Sher Shah Gate

3.         Subz Burj

4.         Khan-i-Khana Tomb

5.         Bara Khamba (Hazrat Nizamuddin)

6.         Biran ka Gumbad

7.         Dadi Poti Tomb

8.         Chhoti Gumti

9.         Humayun ‘s Tomb complex

10.    Delhi Gate

11.    Jantar Mantar

12.    Red Fort Complex

13.    Ajmeri Gate

14.    Qila Rai Pithora

15.    Purana Qila Complex

She said, list of centrally protected monuments which were illuminated during Commonwealth Games 2010 and currently illuminated are given below:
