The Budget Session, 2012 of Parliament which commenced
on Monday, 12th March, 2012 has been adjourned sine die on
Tuesday, the 22nd May, 2012.
A
Special sitting of both the Houses was held on Sunday, 13th May,
2012 to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the First sitting of the
Parliament.
During
the Session 26 Bills (21 in Lok Sabha and 5 in Rajya Sabha) were introduced. 21
Bills were passed by Lok Sabha and 22 Bills were passed by Rajya Sabha. Total
number of Bills passed by both Houses of Parliament during the Session is 21.
