Improvement of Minority Educational Institutions


The Ministry of Human Resource Development implements two schemes under which funds have been earmarked for the educational empowerment of minorities, the details of which are as under:-

(i)         Scheme for Providing Quality Education in Madarsa (SPQEM)
(ii)       Scheme for Infrastructure Development of Private Aided/Unaided Minority Institutes (IDMI) (Elementary/Secondary/Senior Secondary Schools). 

An amount of Rs. 375.00 crore has been earmarked for SPQEM and IDMI during the year 2014-15.  Out of this, an amount of Rs.11.01 crore has been released till date to 118 Minority Institutions as per details  given below:
