Govt release Rs. 117.64 crore to States to Promote Production of Nutri-Cereals

The scheme has been launched in this fiscal to promote higher production of bajra, jowar, ragi and other millets, upgrade their processing technologies and create awareness about their health benefits. It is a sub-scheme under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana. It aims at providing market-linked production support to 10 lakh millet farmers in 1,000 blocks covering about 25, 000 villages in arid and semi-arid zones of the country. The scheme also intends to help improve nutritional security and increase feed and fodder supply for livestock.(PIB)

Common Entrance Test for Three Sanskrit Universities

A common entrance test (CET) is being held for taking admission to the professional courses in Teacher’s training as well as for Registration for Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D.) degree in three Sanskrit Universities of the country, namely the Rashtriya Sanskrti Sansthan(RSKS), New Delhi, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Sanskrit Vidyapeeth(SLBSRSV),New Delhi and Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth (RSV), Tirupati. Prior to this step taken by the HRD Ministry to hold a common test, 6000 students sat every year for separate Entrance Tests in each of the three Universities, for admission to the Shikshashastri (B.Ed.) course. Each students having registered for the CET has been provided sufficient literature and guidance to appear for the common Entrance Test. Steps have also been taken to convert ICR forms into OMR and question papers were designed to test the language skills, general awareness, comprehension and aptitude for teaching of the examinees. For candidates willing to take admission for Vidyavaridhi research programme, the CET has been designed to test aptitude for research and application of interpretative and analytical methods.

The three Universities are conducting CET for Shikshashastri(BEd),Shikshacharya(MEd)and PRT (Pre-registration Test) for Vidyavaridhi by rotation. The RSKS is conducting the Common Entrance Test for this year, the RSV,Tirupati will hold the examination for the academic year 2012-13, and the SLBSRSV, New Delhi will assume the responsibility of conducting the examination for the year 2013-2014. The CET for Shikshashastri was held on 8th May 2011 and the CET for Shikshacharya (MED) and pre-registration Test for Vidyavaridhi will be held on 18th June. Result of the CET for B.ED. courses will be declared by 10th june.

What is ESMA ACT

The ESMA (Essential service Maintenance Act) enacted by Parliament in 1981. The ESMA act provide for the maintenance of certain essential services and normal life of the community. The Act empowers Govt to arrest any group who instigate incites other persons to take part in, or otherwise acts in furtherance of a strike (which is illegal under this Act) shall be punishable by imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, a fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or both.

After filing the ITR-1 form, the website will prompt the user to review the ITR-1 form.Once the review is done, users can submit for e-file. Websites offer users an option to submit ITR-1 form by using digital signautre. Users will have to pay additionally, between Rs. 400Rs/500 , for a digital signature or else they can just submit the ITR-1 form without a ditital signature. once the form, without a ditittal signautre, is submitted , users will get the ITR-1 form acknowledgment from the Income Tax department in their mails.Users then have to print the ITR-1 form in black sign it with a blue pen and post ( ordinary/speed post only to the centralized processing centre at Bengaluru.After a few days the IT department will acknowledge the receipt of the ITR-1 form through mail.
